SUMMER SOLSTICE + HOW TO HONOR THE LIGHT
The Summer Solstice represents the transition from action to nourishment, which is exactly what the Sun gives us during the long days of summer. Get ready to release old energy, welcome the light, heal the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. Get creative, move your body, spend time filling yourself with light and creating inner and outer abundance on the longest day of the year with these summer solstice rituals:
Take a barefoot walk in the morning dew
Bathe in the light of the sun, pause + reflect on the light within
Do some gardening, plant intentions
Immerse yourself in water
Watch the sunrise + sunset
Charge your crystals in the sunlight
Light a bonfire + dance around it!
Prepare meals with fresh, earthy ingredients, eat outside + tune into nature
The summer solstice symbolizes ascension and the rebirth or return of the light on our planet and within each one of us. Because what happens on the Earth and in the Universe is a reflection of what happens within us. “As above, so below.” And spiritually, the sun’s light is considered the same light that shines within each being on Earth.
For these reasons, summer solstice traditions also include rituals to help release old, dark energy. So it’s a great time to consider the grand scope of your life and the spiritual path you are on. It is also a great idea to focus or meditate upon the light to create more abundance in your life.
As you do so, note what is in and out of alignment. And do your best to bring light back into your heart, body, mind, soul, and earthly endeavors. So you can be the bright shining star you were born to be and cast this light upon the Earth and everyone you meet. May you reap an abundant inner and outer harvest this summer!
Celebrate light, renewal, life, fertility and a good harvest. Focus on inner and outer abundance.
Soak up our fullest day of sunlight, breathe in fresh air, connect to out Planet and embrace her divine purpose.
