Winter, in traditional herbalism, is a time of recovery + preparation — to let the energy flow inward, back to our roots.
The energy of this season embodies life growing beneath the surface. We tend to dread these darker days — but with attention + a little bit of fire, it’s easy to see there is so much light within the dark.
We are granted this season to slow down and rest, helping maintain our inner fire to stay lit throughout the colder months.
Winter is a time to put more focus into the food we eat and our medicinal allies to fully support our root — what makes us feel alive, warm and resilient.
In this two hour workshop, we’ll start off with warming movement and breathing practices, like Breath of Fire, to stoke our inner fire and awareness, ending our movement with a Root Meditation to bring the energy back in.
After movement, we’ll chat over tea and bone broth about all things food, herbs and remedies for these months moving into winter. There will be plenty of herbs + spices to taste, smell, touch!
Each person will be given a notebook to jot down any nuggets of wisdom they connect to and go home with a warming + heart opening bottle of homemade Hawthorn Berry Cordial, made with love by Nayj!
