4 Rituals to welcome in Spring.

Spring is in the air, can you smell it!??

The sun shines a little longer, our bare feet touch the earth and the smell of nature blooming floods the air!

Spring energy is reviving, its that time of year when mother earth comes back to life, waking up and re-energizing. We want to harness the spring energy and use it to re-emerge from the dark, reflective and inward focus energy of winter. In ancient times, seasonal transitions were celebrated as welcome signs for new opportunities, so heres a few rituals to awaken this new chapter;

  1. MOVEMENT: Get moving in detoxing and creative movement, as woo woo as it sounds get lost in some dance, embodying growth and expansion of what you envision in nature during this spark of the spring season. Take a journey in some detoxing yoga postures, twisting and fluid movement to again embody Spring energy.

  2. MEDITATION: Find a comfortable area, close your eyes and focus on your breath letting go of distractions in the mind. Once you’re grounded and have control of the breath, allow your intentions to come to the surface on what you wish to manifest in your life during this season of renewal.

  3. SEEDS OF INTENTION: Utilizing your intentions for the new season, sprinkle your favorite plant seeds in your palm, cup them and repeat your spring intentions in a present tense phrase to yourself. Once the seeds have absorbed your intention, plant them in the earth or a pot of choice and watch them bloom and come to life!

  4. NOURISH: Indulge in nourishing your body with seasonal spring foods; artichokes, mango, asparagus, strawberry, honeydew, apricot and spinach to name a few. Eating foods that are in season are not only fresher and tastier but because of that they are higher in nutritional value when freshest. It is also more eco-friendly as it reduces the demand for shipping travel, refrigeration and supports local farmers.
