Woman owned favorites in Westchester.

What better way to kick off International Womens day, than highlighting some of my favorite woman owned businesses right here in Westchester!

  1. Kicking off my list is Kara Vilchek, owner of Ema Apothecary & Wellness. When I tell you she is hands down the best massage therapist, I am not lying. I attended massage school so Its hard for me to shut down what I was taught when I receive but enter a session with Kara and I loose track of time. Her education combines, thai massage, deep tissue and healing work to truly help you relax and reset your mind, body and soul. I can’t leave out highlighting her additional talents as an herbalist, healing balms, salves and my favorite is her elderberry syrup.

    Location: Thornwood, NY @ema_apothecary_wellness

  2. Talk about a boss! Bonnie Saran is the owner of all the ‘Little’ spots but my absolute favorite is Little Mumbai Market. Her spots are designed to transport you to street markets in India and to invite Indian food to be your next go to for take out. She truly has built an empire and a strong name for herself in Westchester. My regular go to is the Lasooni Gobi with extra cucumber salad <- delisshhhh

Location: Pleasantville, NY Little Mumbai Market.

  3. This woman, if sunshine was a person it would be her. Jackie Moore is the designer, creator and sunshine behind this luxury leather brand. She sources unique and high quality leathers to create the latest clutches, bags and cross bodies, let me tell you they feel like butter! If you ask her to tell you the story behind the brand name, it will warm your heart. She recently took her talents to canvas, being called to create shapes from leather to create energy and stories of their own into art. Tony. B

  4. This chick is a vibe and so is the art she creates. I went to visual art school to learn how to paint but she is self taught and the skills are on another level! Her artwork speaks to me and it makes sense since she describes her process as a connection. A free flowing creative connection from her emotions to canvas and is then translated to the viewer. I have been in awe of watching her shift and grow as an artist. @brittanycliffordart

  5. For the past two years I have been a vendor at the White Plains Holiday market and on the first year, Melissa was my neighbor. Her smile is contagious and has a genuine and warming soul, did I mention her talent? She brings jewelry to life, creating from vintage and new pieces and is always opening to creating a custom piece that speaks to you. @adzineny
